When your client/friend comes to you and says "I was thinking a country/rustic, barefoot, grassroots, organic looking maternity shoot," you basically get super giddy because a-to-the-men when visions align. Then she proceeds to say she wants to use her chickens as props and it's like icing on the cake. [Chickens were a first for me to have as props, but I hope not my last.] Also, her backyard is a FIELD OF WILDFLOWERS. With butterflies everywhere. I basically was in a fairy land. I just cannot even. One of the prettiest session settings ever.
Sara and her husband, Dave, are about to welcome their third, and they decided it was time to capture this last pregnancy since they had never had a maternity session before. I'm so glad they decided to do it. It was hot and it takes planning for outfits and hopes kids will do okay, but it is 100% worth it in the end. I'm so, so glad they did.
