Oh my goodness. I know it sounds cliche, but it truly is hard to believe that we are 4 days into 2016. My last session of 2015 was a doozy, in a good way. I photographed sweet Mila a few days before she turned one in the new year! Her mama and I agreed that her personality was certainly captured--she was a bit pensive and definitely dainty. Even the cake wasn't enough to get her too messy.
As I look ahead with this little photography business and reflect back on the year. I'm just really thankful. I'm a lover of story-telling and relationships, so to be able to visually story-tell and build relationships with my clients is truly a dream come true. It doesn't come without doubt or frustrations, but the privilege of creating a visual time capsule for others is certainly enough to push through the hard.
So as I start this year, push through the temptation to compare, to give up, to slow down, to question myself, I want to stop and remind myself of my vision and this gift of photography, this gift of today...
May I chase the light, capture love, learn every day, and not let fear rule me. May my pictures story-tell and be a treasure for others.
Pssst. What would entering a New Year be without setting some big goals?! Let me share of my big dreams [that's on my 5 year plan]--owning a barn or old church for a studio!
Whew, that is out there on the internet-world now. Accountability at it's finest, right?
